WET is seeking self-motivated and internationally focused individuals to join the Business Development team. The role will focus on prospecting for, identifying, and pursuing new leads. A critical component of the role consists of networking, attending industry related events and conferences to build and leverage relationships and facilitate new project opportunities. Business development team members also conduct market research and track potential project opportunities using industry publications and other online and professional news sources. The role will also require business development team members to contact potential clients via email or phone to establish a rapport and set up meetings.
Report to the Senior Vice President to determine new business development strategies to acquire new business contracts and leads.
Conduct preliminary due diligence on real estate markets including real estate development, architecture, etc. for potential leads and market knowledge.
Assist and draft proposals.
Establish and maintain relationships with potential and existing clients.
Attend business event and socials to represent WET as well expand business relationships with other firms.
Schedule and conduct business meetings with firms that have potential projects/leads as well as to establish long term relationships.
Because networking is critical in this position, candidates must be willing and able to travel both locally and internationally to conferences, business meetings, and industry events. As such you will need to either have or be eligible for a passport.
