WET is pushing the boundaries for manufacturing innovation. We are looking for an experienced Prototype Machinist to fabricate parts and components used for research and development in our world class manufacturing facility.
Work with Engineers to develop a working prototype before to ensure design feasibility
Interpret and provide feedback to blueprints, sketches, models, or specifications to plan sequences of operations for fabricating components that could be used in our state of the art features
Verify dimensions, alignments, and clearances of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators
Set up and operate conventional or computer numerically controlled machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders to cut, bore, grind, or otherwise shape parts to prescribed dimensions and finishes
Extended fabrication knowledge of machining for rapid turnaround, welding, and cutting using band saw or CNC Plasma cutter
Must have 5+ years experience in job shop setting, with experience of machining aluminum and steel as well
