Summary
The Manager of Facilities and Maintenance is a hands-on leader responsible for all aspects of construction management, facility maintenance, and operational excellence. This role drives the planning, execution, and upkeep of innovative projects, ensuring every WET Design space is safe, efficient, and inspiring. The ideal candidate is proactive, action-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional results.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all facilities, and maintenance projects from concept through completion
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs to maximize facility uptime and asset longevity
Oversee daily facility operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency
Direct and mentor cross-functional teams, including contractors, maintenance staff, and project managers
Collaborate with designers, engineers, and executive leadership to align project goals and deliverables
Manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope
Proactively identify and resolve facility issues before they impact operations
Maintain accurate records, schedules, and reports for all construction and maintenance activities
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and accountability
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field
7+ years’ progressive experience in facilities management, and maintenance leadership
Proven track record managing renovations, daily facility operations and possible new builds
Strong knowledge of building systems, codes, safety regulations, and maintenance best practices
Possession of a valid General Contractor license is a huge plus and highly valued for this role
Exceptional leadership, communication, and team-building skills
Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a drive for operational excellence
Proficiency with project management software and ERP systems
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
